These are some pics that one of my friends and I took about a year ago. We shot them in my room with some boards for the backing and flooring and with 2 lamps and possibly a flash light. Some cropping and possibly a few touches here and there still need to be done. God bless photoshop.
Here is this insanely crappy video that a whole bunch of amazing people did. The list of people that worked on this video include: Si Scott from London, Peter Jaworowski from Poland (Ars Thanea, The Hejz), Justin Maller from Australia, Matt Andrews, Philippe Richardson / Laundry from Los Angeles. If you google any of these people you will see that they do amazing work individually. It just looks like everyone did their own project and stuck it in this video.
There is this French Designer named Fabien Barral who is my favorite print designer of all time. All of the texture and color he uses in his different pieces is just amazing. I emailed back and forth with him a few times and even ended up buying a book and some other things from his site. He just opened this awesome store called Harmonie-Interieure where he sells awesome things like wall stickers and pretty much anything you need in your house. You should check out the amazingness. The images I posted below aren't my favorite ever, but I just grabbed some off his site to put on here.
http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/ You should all check out this photoshop blog. Some of the stuff that people point out in these finished products are crazy.
Check out these people here for some amazing work. They have a ton of their prints on sale and the best part is that almost all of them are 20 bucks. I'm definitely bookmarking this in the "once i get some money" folder. The first pic i posted is a poster, not a book cover, and it is sick.
This is what the back cover ended up looking like. Its not the exact same color scheme as the front, which is more black/white, but I like the different colors that came out of this one.
I think I fixed the problem of the type at the bottom. I just took a spray brush and put it at 20% opacity and hit up some of the areas behind the text where it was too light to read. I think that should take care of the problem.I've got the back planned out in my head, I'm going to go ahead and try to knock it out tonight while the wheels are going.
This is the redo of the cover I worked on today. I like everything except the placement of the sentence at the bottom center. I haven't quite figured out how I am going to fit it in. I don't want to put it at the top (I tried and didn't like it). So if you have any suggestions on placement for that, I'd love to hear them.
These are 3 backgrounds I have been working on for my dexter/monologue video. I wanted it to resemble skin. They are pretty large files (11x17) so if you view them zoomed in, it looks pretty gross. I had to knock out some of the quality so I could reduce the file size to post them online. I know I would never want to meet someone that had skin that looked like this. I'm probably going to put a layer between the type and the background to blur the background some. That way the main focus will be on the type and ink instead of the detail in the background.
You should go to http://blogginsince78.blogspot.com/ and check out the different music mixes this guy has put together. If you look at the bottom of his first holiday mix and click on Music next to Labels it will pull up all his posts dealing with music. I am not a fan of mixes, in fact I only had 1 on my ipod (Garden State) but I would rank these mixes up there if not better than Garden State. Plus I love looking at my download status and have 100+ amazing songs download. So download them, you wont be disappointed, I promise.
