New Batman Poster

Check out this sweet batman poster from the new movie coming out next year.

Tom Greaedts Reel

I have never seen a reel quite like this one. His reel is a merge of a commercial and an actual reel. Some of his effects in the beginning ("laying in bed") are really smart. Overall its just a brilliant way to put a reel together.

New Comps

These are some new comps I have been working on. I really like having the product line up in the ads. All that is pretty much left is to knock out what the type will say, I've started it but its just not finished, and tweak where the Haggar logo and website sit between the text. I also changed the color of the zipper teeth to match what they really look like instead of the gray I had originally (although Im still not 100% on that shade of brass/gold). I also have to reword the buttons type in regards to the polo line so it matches the other 2 and misspelling. Let me know what you think.

New Option

This is one other idea I had so that way Haggar could feature their products in the actual ad. I could apply this to each of the other 2 ads (switching out ones for pants and something else). I could also switch out "The new like of haggar shirts" for something like "Introducing the New Stay Crisp shirt line from Haggar". Let me know what you think.

Haggar Ads

These are the Haggar ads that I'm working on. The image making is done and all I need to do is work on some type that will go at the bottom. There is just some type down there so I could work on placement. The color of the zippers will change and become a little more of a gold color. I am also working on the seams poster to make the outline thicker so you can tell that it is actually sewn on there.

Universal Everything + Nike

These are some ads that Universal Everything did for Nike Basketball. I think they are pretty interesting. They go in order of how much I like them. I don't really like the last one that much at all but I posted it anyways.

Backstreets Back Alright!

For the upcoming holiday season, from me to you, I give you Tina. I can't tell yet, but I think she might just be the woman of my dreams. You should forward to about 1:20 which is where the good stuff starts.

1 Idea for Haggar

I started looking around at different things trying to get different ideas for the haggar project. I stumbled upon a few of these and kept looking for more things that use type as masks. I think using this idea with the background being the different products, buttons, fabrics, zippers, would make for a really eye catching ad. The type would be the main ad, probably set on either a white or khaki background with a little bit of type and the logo at the bottom explaining what the new feature is. The ones I was thinking about doing are Unbreakable Buttons, Unbustable Buttons and Unbustable Seams. I also have another idea revolving around sports, but I will talk about that today

Craig Ward = Amazing

There is this guy named Craig Ward and everything he does is unbelievable. He does amazing things with type. I just kept clicking links (which load slow) and thinking "oh my god".

The above is actually a "map" of london

This is also a "map" but of NYC

OFFF Title Sequence

This is the OFF title sequence from the design conference up in NYC this past week. They had a bunch of different people from all over the world come and talk about design and what not. You can watch the opening here

PS3 + Superfad

Here is a sick video made by Superfad for the PS3. Not only does it just look amazing, but the transitions from one clip to the next are flawless. They have a higher quality version on their site.

Basketball Intro Part 2

Here is an updated version of the score board coming in. All of the elements are final and the only thing that will change is the camera movement. This is going to be the last thing shown during the intro, so once all the other stuff is set up, we are just going to put this at the end.

Basketball Opening Part 1

This is the first test for the basketball intro that I am working on. It is going to be 17 seconds long and will have music specifically written for the intro by the GSU band. The entire piece centers around the formation of a basketball court. This is the last part that I worked on for a few hours. I am still working on the pole coming down from the ceiling and how it attaches to the actual score board. I''ll post some more once I work on it some more.

AvroKO

AvroKO does everything design related. From architecture to print to interior design, they do it all. One of my favorite things is under projects-smart.space-waverley. It is in flash so I cant pull pics of that, but definitely go check it out.

In Honor of NYC

So I take a lot of trips, mostly road trips. It has become a "custom" if you will on these trips to take a picture of "that guy". For example, the picture to your right of the awesome guy at the liberty bell. Once I saw the guy above in Chicago, I knew he was the one. I am pretty sure finding "that guy" in NYC wont be hard at all.

Updated Logo

This is my new updated logo. After the older one got called a "worm with a hard on" I decided it might be time to change some things about it. I changed the outsides and pulled the top parts in closer to the body, so this way it is not as wide as the original.

Street Fighter 4

Here is an awesome video for street fighter 4. I wish it wasn't so dark and the quality was better but it still looks awesome. I definitely love all the ink effects.

Basketball Stuff

I decided to post a few of the elements I am working on for the GSU basketball broadcast. I really loved putting together all of these things. I think there are just over 30 different elements. Not all of them are different, some are different options of other. I am not quite done (the first game is on Nov. 10) but I made a huge headway this weekend. I probably have spent around 10+ hours this weekend working on all of this stuff. I wanted to get as much done asap and it just turned out this weekend I didn't have that much to work on. I had a meeting last week to show some of the elements to the "boss" and he loved them, which is always awesome. I would say I have about 80-85% done, and the rest of the time will be spent fine tuning things. Let me know what you think.

Modern Stuff

If there is one thing I love, it's modern architecture. I actually just like a lot of modern stuff. But the idea of living in a piece of art is amazing. I found these people based over in Europe and it was love at first site. They are called Felipe Assadi and you should check them out. Here are a few of my favorites, which isn't entirely true, but I just didn't want to put every picture they have on their site on my site.

R. Kelly

R. Kelly is quite possibly the greatest singer in the history of singing. People of all ages love him and he loves them back (especially the young ones..)It really doesn't get much better than "I Believe I can Fly". At least I didn't think it did, then I found this

Colour Like No Other

The new Sony Bravia ad is out. Its pretty cool, but nothing like last years and the exploding paint, that was unreal.

I just found this when I was looking for the real commercial. It is pretty funny.

More Letterpress

This one guy named David Pearson does some amazing letterpress. Here is some of the stuff I like the most:
